Description
Matting hardener AHA68 is the mono-salt of 2-phenyl imidazoline with pyromellitic acid. It is used as crosslinker for pure epoxy, epoxy/polyester hybrid-based powder coatings to provide coatings with matt finishes, exceptional flow and good mechanical properties.

Application
● Matting hardener for pure epoxy-based powder coatings. The matt epoxy powder coatings with gloss lower than 10% (60°) can be obtained when AHA68 used as single crosslinker.
● Matting hardener for epoxy/polyester powder coatings. In such coating systems the gloss ranges from 10 to 70% is controlled by replacing parts of AHA68 with polyester resins (AV=34±2mgKOH/g).
