Description

AHA-AT8680 is a solid modifiedpolyether resin for powder coatings. This novel resin can react with epoxy functionalresins in the present of catalyst for formulating LAT (low applicationtemperature) polyether-epoxy hybrid powder coatings.

Typical properties

Application

AHA-AT8680 is recommended to use in polyether-epoxyhybrid powder coatings to achieve low temperature cure at 140℃/20min or 130℃/30min. AHA-AT8680 can also be used in very quick cured powder coating aspectat normal or high temperatures.

Both catalysts of AHA6130 and AHA6140 will be availablefor formulating LAT powder coatings cured at 130 °C and 140°C, respectively.

Advantages

In comparison with the existing LATsystem, this novel hybrid powder coating has the following technical advantages:

• Rapid cure response

• Excellent storage stability

• Very good flow

• Low discoloration

• Better chemical resistance

Mixing ratio

Thecombined ratio with solid epoxy resin with about EEW750 to AHA-AT8680 is recommended to be approx.50:50 parts by weight, but slightly increased epoxy useful levelwill be benefit of improving impacts.

Process

Added to the binder/pigment blendbefore extrusion.

Shelf life

Based on our experiencethis product should be consumed out within 18 months from date of manufacture. Forolder than this period, it is recommended to re-check the performance.

Storage & Notice

Store in temperature between 2 and 35℃or cool dry place to avoid wetting-absorption.

Keep package closed after using.

Handling & Precaution

Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Avoidbreathing dust. Wash after handling.

Important attention

Due to high reactive the flow and surface smoothness ofLAT powder is becoming poor and poor gradually with time-lapsing duringstorage, therefore we strongly recommend that ready powder coatings have to beused up as soon as possible
